A native Californian, Steve came to believe the gospel in 1994 through the youth ministry of a local Baptist church. After serving in a church plant in college, Steve pursued pastoral ministry and studied at The Master’s Seminary (M.Div, 2007). Before becoming a pastor, he worked for Children’s Hunger Fund, where he developed a curriculum for church leaders in a biblical theology of compassion ministry.
He has served as a pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sacramento since 2014. He focuses on preaching, teaching, and leadership training. Steve is passionate about helping pastors and Christians better know God and His gospel. He is also privileged to serve on the board of Bible Translation Fellowship.
Steve and his wife Jenn have been married for 24 years and are the parents of 4 children.
